Can't Use QR Scanner?

I have the QR Scanner/sewing machine unlocked, but for some reason, whenever I light it up with QR codes, it won't recognize them. The boxes in the three corners on my screen are also always twice as big as the ones in the code.

Can anyone help me figure out why my scanner won't work? I'm dying to get Ezio's robes. xD

it's because of the qr codes you are scanning, not the scanner. the photo showing the qr code is too small, so you need to zoom in on the screen. (press ctrl and + at the same time on your keyboard)

For me, it doesn't work when my screen's brightness is too low. You need decent lighting for the 3DS to recognize the QR code.

Usually the size of the QR that you find on the internet, is the right size. Just make sure to click the image, an get to the full picture.
