Can’t participate in stamp rally

I reset my island about a week ago and my museums was in construction yesterday(for the art secrion) when the stamp rally was supposed to start. Now when I talk to Blathers he gives me no dialogue about the event. I thought the it was supposed to be playable through the month, is it not or is there an issue with my game? Tom Nook did announce yesterday that I could talk to Blathers to play the event.

edit: I waited one more day and it works now

Did your museum only reopen today? Blathers likely had other dialogue he had to go through today if so. Maybe you need to wait until tomorrow for it to kick in.

It did, that could probably(and hopefully) be the reason! I’ll report back tomorrow

Another thing to check - is your Switch connected to the internet? A lot of these events have to do a quick online check to see what the time is compared to Nintendo's servers. They do that so people can't TT ahead to experience the event before everyone else.
