I don't even want to remove my SD Card from my 3DS, since my second copy of the game is digital. I love my town and its villagers. I've acquired Dreamies, and some villagers that I really like just happened to move in. I would hate to lose it all. I'm sorry, and hopefully you can fix your game! I want Cube in my village, so I hope you can get him back!

I thought that, by basically backing up data and putting your backed up data back to the SD card, was the part that corrupted the town?
This has happened before.

We made this same mistake because my daughter wasn't happy just living in my son's town (he wanted AC and she asked for a Mario game for Christmas), she wanted to be the Mayor of her own town. I had no idea that was basically trying to steal an additional copy until I came here...I figured that like a physical copy of a game, you can play it on whatever DS you wanted to play it on.

We all have our own digital copies now, but we want a physical copy for cycling purposes, but now I'm worried that putting that in a DS that already has a digital copy will mess up one of our towns!

Backing up data still won't work that way.
When the game notices you don't have the latest save file, it basically tries to make a new one, hence your town is resetted.

You don't have to worry. I have a physical copy and a digital copy, and using both in the same system will not mess either of them up.

Update: Nintendo has sent me a reply. They told me to call them tomorrow about it. I might not solve it but surely Nintendo might help me fix my problem.

Wow actually that would help alot! Thanks mate! Let me just set up how I want my town to look like (Where the town hall is ect. ect.) (and to do this you just reset if you can't find a good spot)

I don't think he's ugly...he's kinda cuteish..but those eyes man....THOSE EYES!
