Can you re-adopt the same villager?

Let's say I let Bob move out on the 19th and then adopt a Bob from another person on the 20th. Is this possible? or do I have to adopt something else before adopting Bob again. Just asking cause I want to re-plot his house

you have to cycle out sixteen villagers before you can readopt a villager you've already had. :c you can readopt the same bob you gave away, but it has to be after you finish the cycle. here's a guide on it in case you want more info ​

Is it possible to bypass the 16 cycle? like I give Bob to Person A and when Person A's Bob is in boxes I go re-adopt that same Bob?

there is no way to bypass it without using hacks.

yes u can. but you have to go through 16 villagers cycle to get them again. meaning you have to get another different 16 villagers and move them out before you can get the same villager again.
