I've seen no straight answers on this.
Can you tt backwards, using your console clock (not the in game acnl clock) to before someone plotted to throw down tiles on the spots you missed?
I missed a 3 spots (fossils and bushes) when I was tiling and now Savannah will plot in those spots consistently except where I have a spot.
I've tried going backwards with the console clock before,in my cycling town, but I think I opened with my mayor on those before seeing the new plots and faffed it.
And can you explain how to do this if possible.
Thank you!

I would suggest going to the date before the villager moves in. For instance, if you are getting a villager somewhere, move to the date you asked them to move in as they will move in before a day or after that date. If you tt after that date or before then the villager will move in as even moving a day behind will count as a day.

If you've played or have loaded/saved your mayor file the previous day (in-game day), you can TT back to that day using the console clock to fix your paths without the fear of villager plot moving in.

As long you haven't accidentally loaded your mayor while plot resetting, the game will think you are still on the same day (even if you TT back to previous day since it was still your last save). I've done this several times when I was plot resetting my second town and it always work.

Great! Thanks, I'll use it next time. don't remember what day I asked her to move in though, I've been plotting for a few days. :/ (Plot 197)

Why not use console clock to go back in time a day to see if the villager plot is there? If it is, you may like the spot, if not repeat the process until you get a spot you like or don't see the plot so you can go into your mayor and fix the areas.

I'm 90% percent I started plotting tuesday, because I know I left a note to my self in game notes to plot reset the last 2 nights and none a night before. I also left a post somewhere tuesday that I couldn't pick up something because I was plotting and I remember thinking "this shouldn't take too long", (ha) while typing that lie. so *fingers crossed* I flipped the time back to tuesday and I'm going to do quick plot search with a new file. if it's there, I'll go to monday.
Thanks for the help! :)

As long as it hasn't been loaded past 6.00 AM you can easily fix it.

Just load it with your mayor and make the time before 6.00 AM and fix the vulnerable spots.

I never truly plot reset anymore.
I do a few test runs with a new character to make sure the plot goes where I want it to, then load it with my mayor, without ever saving or destroying part of my town with a new character.

I call them 'test plot resets'. ^_^

Will going in as a new file even show no plot, because the original plot is set by the mayor?

Ooo, I don't see one yet....

If you are plot resetting, and have found vulnerable spots, go back in as your mayor, before 6.00 AM, and fix them.

Then save before 6.00 AM, and continue to plot reset with a new file to test for any other vulnerabilities. ^_^

It's gone. :) (Unless I'm totally missing it)
Should I save as the new file or is it ok to go in as my mayor now?

What I do, is test plot reset, about 5 times, and if all goes well, then I go in as mayor. ^_^

If you don't see a plot you can continue with save file to make sure or go in as mayor, which ever you feel more comfortable doing but it really doesn't make a difference. It wouldn't make sense for a villager plot to not show up as the game registers a villager moving in and so the villager has to move somewhere, unless you are on the date you asked them to move in - which appears so.

Jon, I'm not that brave! And this game tends to have evil tendencies....
I'm going to save and hop it doesn't pop up....

I'm confused.
Are you plot resetting?

I always do 5 test plot resets, just to make sure I haven't made any mistakes.

If I have, and a villager has plotted in a bad spot, I load it before 6.00 AM, and lay tiles on that spot, and save before 6.00 AM, then continue to test plot reset with a new file.

Then if the new character hasn't found any flaws by 5 test plot resets, and the villager continually plots where you want, then I go in as mayor without saving with a new character, as the new character does destroy part of the town. ^_^

I'm not plot resetting strictly, I'm going backwards in time to prevent a bad plot from happening by re tiling, since I've been plot resetting since monday.
