Imagine if we had two help desks/receptionists, one for local and one for online play. We could easily cut two menu steps (online/local?, and the confirm that you want to connect/disconnect now) and for trading that would make a world of a difference. Plus I'd love to have another NPC, maybe even a female dodo who they could name Katherine after the Wright brothers' sister.

Yes! I've been thinking about this for a while. Pokemon has separate NPCs for local and online play, AC should too!
yess bring back pelly and phyllis! The airport definitely has enough space for them to have their own desk (plus they can just expand it, its practically a tardis already)The airport should really update. Two desks for online play, and two for online and in-game mail. Would be a good excuse to bring them back.

Agreed wholeheartedly. Poor Orville has so much on his plate as it is; he deserves to share the workload with another staffer.

...That said, I feel bad for Wilbur having to take me to hundreds of islands in a 24-hour period when I'm island-hopping, too. Hahahaha.
I think this is a great idea. Also adding a post office desk would be awesome. They could add a post card rack where we could collect post cards and hang them on the walls of our house. Different towns could have different post cards or something.
haha same here. The few people I know IRL who play AC live far away so local play isn't possible

I do love the Dodo brothers but they didn't have to do the Pelicans like that by replacing them with an object...I loved Phyllis's rudeness lol, and Pelly is so sweet (I prefer her over Isabelle but that's probably because of nostalgia and the AC movie)
Idea of Katherine is really good too. I love Orville but poor guy really overworks himself.
To be honest, the dodos are cute, but I don’t know why they didn’t just have it be the pelicans instead.
Pelly could do the desk during the day, Phyllis could do it at night, and it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to have Pete fly the plane (I mean Redd can sail a boat now).

i really don't get why the pelicans were replaced at all. I'm still lowkey hoping they'll be added in an update!
