I have W. Link in boxes, he was kicked when I invited Whitney in. Someone just came over to try to adopt him but he never mentioned moving. Is he adoptable from someone's town?

Don't think special amiibo villagers are :/

Unless they just have 10 spots already filled?

The bigger question is, when December 2nd rolls around. Are we allowed to adopt welcome amiibo card villagers?

I don't think it's possible to adopt the special Nintendo based villagers like Viche, Cece, Wolf Link, Inkwell, Felyne, etc. But I think they can still move out normally. They just cannot be adopted.

Since the normal amiibo cards still apparently allow you to adopt them from other towns, I'm going to assume the Welcome Amiibo cards in the mobile homes will work like them. I think this is because you get six random cards at a time, so you may never find that one villager you want because of dumb or bad luck.

It's not possible to get the special amiibo villagers, sadly. Nintendo wants you to buy the amiibo yourself to obtain stuff as they want money.

I think you have to let the villager move out normally for him to be adopted. If u kick out any villager they won't be adopted.

Nope, Nintendo just wants money, that's all they care about. It's a sad world.

I think its more along the lines of it is not fair to the players who pay 12$ an amiibo to get a villager/items then have people get them for free. It's perfectly fair when you think about the community as a whole

so far, it seems like a normal kicked villager can be adopted, just not the new special characters like W. Link

Okay, so...is it ANY Link Amiibo that will unlock Wolf Link, or do I have to get the Twilight Princess one to get him?

Nope, you can get the Smash Link, which costs less than the Twilight Princess one.

I know, I got confused too.

Thanks, man! Yeah, it's kinda confusing since there's a bunch of Link Amiibo and Nintendo wasn't all that clear if any of 'em would work or if it was just that single one.

If this is really the case, they better fix their shortage issues with Toon Link and probably Sheik.
