Can villagers ping to move out on Bunny Day?

Villagers cannot ping at all during holidays and special events such as the tourneys. They're likely do it afterwards, but the timing has to be juuuuuust right for them to ping you about moving. You also have to ping the correct villager in order for you to convince them to stay. If you do not ping a certain villager for a specific reason, I recommend a technique I learned on the internet. What you do is walk down to the beach or go diving in the ocean and wait 5 minutes. Leave your device open because this does not work if the 3DS is sleeping. When the time has passed, go back up to the village and find whichever villager you want to ping. It also helps if your pockets are free of money, furniture, and tools; with nothing in your inventory, the villager is more likely to talk to you about moving away, changing catchphrases or fruit gathering, or even unlocking a PWP!

The same thing is happening to me! Rumors are going around that my boy Cole is planning on moving, but he won't ping! What if tomorrow is his boxes day??? It shouldn't be, I've been talking to everyone every day, but this is too nerve-wracking!
You could set your 3DS clock to tomorrow and go in as a new character. If he's out and about, you're fine. If he's in his house, go in and check if he's in boxes. Of course, I don't know what you would do about it if he was in boxes.

You can just return to the home menu and exit and change the time back and start up your mayor since he's still there. You don't have to do the set-up.

As long as you didn't load up your mayor or complete the set-up then no, they should be fine.

Actually, it's Izzy from the Total Drama series. They look similar and are both mentally unstable (izzy more so). It's small because it's one of my avatars from the TVtropes forum, and the max size is 100x100.
