I have my house set in a nice little peninsula, formed by my river. My plan is to create an orchard and a garden and everything will be perfect!
However, I'm worried that a villager might come and put their house right in front of me and ruin everything for me. I planted some trees around the house as placeholders, but will that really stop them?
Like fennec said, the only things that will stop them are other houses or PWPs
Biskit utterly destroyed my would-be garden and my path when he moved in.
Villagers don't care about stuff like that. They just want to put their house down. They don't care if they put it on top of your paths, trees, flowers or grandma.
They don't care...It sucks, for example Walker's one of my favorite villagers but he moved in literally right in front of Re-tail -_- I thought a PWP on the side would stop that but nope. Love him to much to move him out.
Maybe try a small pwp or a flat one if you dont want to be crowded? I had villager after villager moving right in front of my house so i placed the water pump pwp. Its small and prevented villagers from messing up my plans.
