Can villagers in boxes still participate in April Fools?

hello.
today I invited Marshal to move into my town which means his plot will be here tomorrow & he'll be here on Friday. can he still participate in April Fools, meaning I could get his picture, or is that not possible?

You know, I don't think so, but hopefully someone else will chime in and let you know for sure.

There's a possibility he won't even move in if there's a special event going on. At least that happened once for me. I had to wait a day for my new move-in to appear.

This is an interesting question, I actually have never thought of this before. I don't think they'll want to move on an event day, atleast that's what i've found when villagers announce they're moving. So no, I don't think villagers will be in boxes at all on that day so I think they still can participate.

yeah they don't move on an even day and even still I don't think they would participate in boxes either

If you don't talk with your villager before April fool it doesn't appear

basically what everyone else said!
but once you get his plot down, you could time travel a couple days forward so he's all unpacked, and then go back to get his picture for april fools

I did the April fools event in my cycle town today and learned that Blanca only stays around for 8 villagers so if you have more be aware that you may not get all of your villager pictures.
