I've heard a lot of conflicting information as to whether vaulting poles and ladders can break or not. To those who have gotten vaulting poles, at least, (not sure if anyone has gotten a ladder), have you had experience with any of them breaking? Are they unbreakable like some sources say? I and others, I'm sure, would love to know!

I haven't had my vaulting pole break yet and I've used it a lot (my river is all over the place) Haven't gotten ladders though.

Im curious about this as well because Ive heard people mention that vaulting poles do break, but so far I haven't heard anyone say that theirs broke.

I imagine they do, or else why would the rescue service be necessary. I put a crafting bench on the other side of the river just in case.

That would make sense. I'm just confused because there's so much conflicting information. Websites like polygon say that they don't break and I haven't heard of anyone breaking them, but it's weird that it would be the only tool that doesn't break, right?

I went to a guide to see if they break, and the guide says no, but the presence of Resetti's rescue service is telling me I should think otherwise.

I'm probably just always gonna make sure I have a second one at all times. As much as I would hate to put Resetti out of business, I don't want the surprise of having to spend my hard-earned Nook Miles when I don't have to. It's a lot fewer resources to just craft a second pole or ladder.

Rescue service costs miles. What if you vault across, break your pole and don't have any miles? You're stuck, unless you save and quit your game. It's intuitive. I'm pretty sure they don't break.
