Hi!
A couple years back, when I didn't really care for my town much, I had placed the fountain in a really terrible spot in front of the train station.
I really would like to demolish it and rebuild it but wasn't sure if that was possible as I know some things can not be removed.
I hope someone can help, Thanks in advance x

Yes, you are able to demolish the fountain. It only costs 9,980 Bells to do so. If you are ever unsure about whether you can demolish something or not, just tell Isabelle to demolish a project. It will bring up a complete list of everything that can be demolished in your town.

Thanks sm!! x

CrumbyTheNarwhal,

You can demolish all projects with exceptions of those which are permanent Public Works Projects (PWPs).

What you cannot demolish are the Reset Center, the Campsite, the Police Station, and The Roost Caf?. (I hope I did not forget any.)

I have done plenty of demolishing of non-permanent PWPs just to preserve having under 30 PWPs and, while a town is still young enough, the building of a new, non-PWP will get a villager to ping for yet another new PWP.

Have fun!

Thanks so much for this new information!
I was aware you could not demolish the police station and the roost cafe, but wasn't sure about the others. I really appreciate the help, thank you~~

You’re welcome!

Also: When you upgrade the Train Station and/or Town Hall, Isabelle will mention they cannot be demolished. That is just a communication. Of course they would never get demolished. What a player can do is change the theme.
