Can Switch (1) play Switch 2 games?

Do ALL Switch 2 games play on an original Switch (1)? Anything specific you need to look out for? Does it depend on the specific game, Switch 1 model, or anything like that? I'll probably get a Switch 2 eventually, but not planning on it anytime soon. There's a game I'm thinking of getting but only seeing physical copies for Switch 2, even though it looks like it was released on Switch at some point in the past.

Depends on the game - it needs to be an NS2 edition, which you can recognize by the banner on the bottom of the box. NS2 exclusives, like Mario Kart World, aren't playable.
I've bought a few NS2 editions to play on my NS1, since I figure I'll also upgrade eventually, so I can confirm from experience.
