So, while I've played AC for a long time, I never actually dabbled in the online community much. Not enough to learn terms outside of being in a few facebook groups. I have a few questions, if people don't mind answering :3

What does "original" mean when characters are moving?
When a villager is in boxes, how do I properly sell/give them away? Is there a site to see what villagers are worth?
What makes a villager rare exactly? Since there is only one of each? (i get the amiibo part for new villagers though, I mean like for villagers like Zucker who everyone seems to want? He's not new, right?)
Also, last question: What are the bells in my mini profile for? :3

Thanks in advance :3

1. original means that they weren't gifted any items, no clothes, no furniture, no fish or bugs, nada.
2. There are tier lists but I honestly dont recommend you set your expectations too high. Having a villager on an s tier doesn't mean anything anymore, and you'll hardly get the 80+ nmts advertised on the tier lists. It just means you will have an easier time finding a home for them. The market is absolutely bonkers right now, and except for raymond you're not guaranteed any price on a given villager.
3. I don't think there are any 'rare' villagers. There are popular villagers for sure, but they're not exactly rare as the market is overflowing with them, and they end up being easier to find than less popular villagers.
4. The bells on your profile, better known as TBT are the in forum currency, and you can use them to buy in game stuff from users of the forum, as well as collectibles. For more info go to the bell tree hq board

An “original” villager means the villager is ungifted and is basically untouched since moving in (like catchphrases and greetings also unmodified).

when a villager is in boxes you can have someone come invite them to their island by inviting the person to your island then have them talk to the villager whos moving out. Usually this happens after both parties agree to a price to trade the villager for. You can barter for them on the new neighbor board!

villagers are “rare” usually based on their popularity so their demand is higher! For instance raymond :s

Finally here’s a link to help u understand how to use the forum bells(TBT) as well as what theyre used for. Theres another link in the thread that u can click on to tell u what they are!

I believe original means that the old "owner" didn't gift any items to this villager, so they still dress the same and have the same interior as when they were first spawned in the game.
Villagers aren't "rare" but some are wanted more then others, which makes their value go up. You can check Nookazon.com to see what certain villagers sell for the most, such as Apollo, Raymond, and Judy, some of the most wanted villagers in the game. You can put listings up on Nookazon.com, or even here on The Bell Tree (TBT)
Villagers become worth less in general when people amiibo them in, or hack and mass produce them. Raymond was selling for SO MUCH, sometimes in real currency (!?!?!) on Ebay, so a hacker made a lot to stop the greed.
Octopi as a species are usually wanted a lot because there is only 3, but on a Nook Miles Island, there is no villager more likely to spawn then another.
The bells on your profile are called TBT (the bell tree) and can be used on here to use as trading currency!
I hope you are having a great time on here so far!

darn it 😅 i'm a slow typer so everyone already told you what you need to know

You earn bells by trading (like you give someone something and they pay you back), by entering contests and giveaways, and by each post you make! The longer the post, the more bells you earn! (but don't try to mass get bells, you have a possibility to get banned.)

No worries! It's not really something I'm interested in ^_^; I was just curious as to what they meant lol
