As others have said, pastel and galaxy are two aesthetics that are popular with a lot of people, including myself. Judy is also extremely cute for a snooty. There aren't many villagers of that personality with the cute factor, as they tend to have a more sophisticated look about them.

I was weirded by her when she first came to my island, but I got used to her.
I thought she was creepy looking, her house is terrible and all she does is sing.. I mean she sings like 24/7... I'm glad to be rid of her...

Pastel and Anime eyes. I also tried her out but I just do not favor cubs. That too she's a teddy bear. That's like cotton candy. But she is SO CUTE. Even feeling eh about her I always went, wow she's cute. I really hate her house unrelated.
My sister was DYING for me to give her Judy ever since I got her. Once I got Diana back I told her she could have Judy. She was over the moon. She's 9 so she made like a rainbow dress and a rainbow shirt and hat ect. It was really cute.
On Raymond- my sister has Marshal (he was her forced move in, lucky) so I quested to find Raymond because both of us having Marshal is...Too meta for me. He doesn't look ugly or like a child kidnapper like half the smugs. Although it I had found Peitro first I would've picked him. Seriously half the smugs bother me.

You know I can really see why people like her eyes/fur color/whatever, but what REALLY throws me off is her head shape.. It really reminds me of a hamster, not a cub.. lmao

i'm so annoyed because i REALLY did not like judy ever since i've seen her (sorry! her design is just not my aesthetic and i'm not the ~biggest~ fan of snooty, i prefer others more) but omg every time i see another photo of her, i swear she gets cuter and cuter.

I think she's pretty cute. I like some of the other new villagers better I think but honestly they are all pretty good. I'm not gonna list the reasons why she's cute to me because it's probably the same as everyone else who likes her. She's just new and has a nice aesthetic per my preferences. Not gonna go far outta my way to get her though. I'm content as I am.
