Can no longer do public works projects?

I have quite a few and a perfect town rating, just got the golden watering can.

All of a sudden my ability to do public works projects doesn't work.
Well I can ask to do them but all I get are town hall renovation options... which is silly I just renovated town hall, I don't want to do it again.

Anyone know why this happened?

How many PWP do you have up? Maybe you've reached a limit

There's a limit of what, 30-40 PWPs? If you've reached the limit, then you'll have to demolish projects to do more.

The limit for PWP is 30, unfortunately. Try deleting the ones that you don't deem as necessary. Certain ones don't count, I believe- though I'm not sure which. (Possibly limited to the ones on main street. I don't know if this includes permanent in-town ones like the police station)

If you've reached the limit, I recommend you take lots of photos . . . pick out your favorite rooms to save the stuff, and reset.

I had the Japanese version, that's what I did when I swapped over to the English one. It actually was lots of fun because I knew what I was doing much better.

when you have reached your PWP limit, the list of PWPs will reduce, leaving only building reconstructions.
