also, as a side note, this applies to regular clover patches too
since if you're unaware, they count as weeds in-game. so like normal weeds, they'll just stick around until you get rid of. but unlike normal weeds, they don't negatively affect your town
(dandelions also count as weeds, but because of their cycle to turn into puffs, they'll disappear over time, and also don't negatively affect your town)
@LambdaDelta, I think you only made it confusing. Clovers aren't weeds, they don't negatively (nor positively) affect your town like weeds do. But yes, similar to weeds, they're there until you pluck them - unless they're lucky clovers, in which case they'll return in your inventory and you can plant them somewhere.
regular grass-like weeds, rafflesia, clover patches, and dandelions (regular and puffs) all count in the "weeds" category; but only the first 2 will be detrimental to your town. while the latter 2 are effectively harmless
