Can Jacobs Ladder breed?!?

I have an area with just Jacobs ladders. I have 7 there, and this morning, there was 8... Can they breed? I thought they couldnt. Hmm, its possible I put another in the area and I forgot, but usually I am so excited to see one of these, I remember.

No, Jacob's Ladders won't breed, although they'll increase the chances of other flowers breeding when planted next to them. Is the area you put them by a cliff?
