Can items be placed on top of mini fridge or freezer?

No, because the freezer lifts upwards.

I can't remember if you can with the minifridge or not.
I can scan the card and buy one in the morning and let you know.

Hopefully there's only one freezer. It takes up 1 square, right? If so, then no, you can't put an item on top of the freezer.

Same here! I always with there are shelving units that you can place items on top of... that you can then put on the wall. Would save a lot of room and make more sense, too. It's weird to put the rice cooker on the floor, so I have it on top of a sloppy table in a corner. Along with the dishwasher and a picture of Joan haha

Now that I think about it, before I turned my house into Castle Black (GoT), I had a cupcake on top of my minifridge in my old music room. ^_^.
