ugh so basically i didn't play my game for like 3 months, so when i finally got the time to start playing again, i TT'd back to the last time i played (with the help of the 3ds daily records thing) so that i didn't lose any of my dreamies. so i've been playing almost 3 months behind for ages now, and whenever i try and get further ahead day-by-day it's just such a long process and i can't enjoy the game !

i would really like to play up to date, but can i TT 3 months to today's date without losing any dreamies? it's such a scary thought ლ (? д ? ლ)

I've TT'd a month ahead before and never actually lost anyone. That said, if it makes you nervous, the surefire trick is to deny someone's ping to move. From there you can TT as far ahead as you want.

It's actually VERY easy! Just follow this process.
1) Make someone ask to move. Deny or accept them. If you deny, follow step 2.
2) You just denied someone. You can Time Travel as far ahead as you want without losing anybody!
3) Play the game, talk to ALL of your villagers. One of them will ask to move after you, talk to all of them, then save and quit the game.

Open up the playtime app on your 3DS an note your last time you open AC. Now you can play AC on the current date an see if anyone moved, if so remember the person. Time travel now back to the date you wrote down and talk the one person until he pings you. Deny him to move out. Now you can safely load the game with your main character and nobody moved out.
That's how I do it.

OP was asking if they can TT to 3 months ahead (which I guess is for this time now), which is why I said 3. I'm well aware you can go as far as you'd like though! but thanks for clearing that up, cause it could have been misunderstood~

I guess so! XD It's a lot better than painfully having to TT each day, worrying about what villager wants to move next ~_~

No one else will have time to consider the idea of moving, so your villagers are safe. But it doesn't count as one day. Your villagers will complain that you have been gone, your flowers will die and weeds will grow if you don't have the beautiful town ordinance and your hair will be terrible. But that can all be recovered very quickly. The villagers are the main thing to protect Good luck!

No one else will have time to consider the idea of moving, so your villagers are safe. But it doesn't count as one day. Your villagers will complain that you have been gone, your flowers will die and weeds will grow if you don't have the beautiful town ordinance and your hair will be terrible.
