Can friends invite a villager off my island while they unpack?

So I made the mistake of buying 2 plots of land in one day. I was able to have somewhat of a say in who moved into the first plot, but then a random villager bought the second one. And it was SNOOTY. Now, a day later, there's a villager I want visiting my campsite. I want to kick Snooty off to make room for them, but they want me to kick a different villager off.

So then I remembered that friends can invite villagers to their island. But I was wondering, can this work if said villager is still unpacking? Then will I have the choice to pick them to move out?

No. The villager is moving in; not moving out! So they won't be looking for a new island to go to.

Arg! Is there any way I can stop them from moving in? I normally wouldn't be so worried, but AUDIE is visiting my campsite!

Sorry, but no :( Once theyre moving in, theres nothing to stop the process!
If you dont have 10 villagers, you can buy en extra plot of land so that there can be room for Audie.
If you already have 10 villagers in your island, then you will have to convince Audie to move in! But she will pick a villager at random to kick out.
If you like who she wants to kick out, you can proceed. If not, immediately close the game without saving and open it again.
Rinse and repeat till she kicks out someone you actually want off your island!
But she wont kick out the person thats moving in ;c

Hmm, I have an idea. If my friend came to my island and invited a different villager (who has settled in) to move to their island, would Audie then choose that villager as the one to replace? I tried the restart method but she keeps wanting to replace Phil, who I convinced to stay (which was weird because I hadn't been ignoring him or anything).

That's not possible. If your friend came over, she could only invite villagers who are already in boxes to move out. Also probably the restart method did not work because you finished the dialog and than it autosaves, you have to quit before that for it to work /: I feel like you're out of options

Ugh, I've tried restarting a few times, but for some reason it doesn't seem to work. Like, Audie checks with resident services, says she can't move in since it's too full. Then asks me if I know anyone who would move. After I select "I do!", She says "Is it Phil? It's Phil isn't it?" And I tried closing the game after she says "Is it Phil?" But she still suggests him when I go through the process again...

If she keeps choosing the same villager, it's could just be bad luck. Keep trying and she'll change her choice eventually.

if you wanna invite the campsite villager, i think the snooty would need to be totally unpacked, so maybe tt a day, n then if the tent's still there, complete the three quests (or beat the villager in a game) n theyll ask to move in...if they give you a choice (im not exactly sure if you get a say in the villager they replace) select the snooty, but if they name off villagers, make sure you know the name of the villager, and if they dont say it, close your game completely without saving as soon as they mention a villager you wanna keep. do this until they suggest the snooty

sorry that mightve been a bit chaotic

I probably won't be able to wait a day. But, if I were to kick out Phil, I could probably reinvite him with an amiibo card. My only question then is, if I reinvited him, would he remember my island? Would he have any interesting dialogue?

When you reinvite him, he will not remember you.
You basically start from scratch with him.
