Can anybody move out while a villager is sick?

Genji is down with a cold, poor thing, and I've noticed that while he has been sick (4 days now) no one has pinged me to leave and I have heard no rumours about leaving.
Does a sick villager prevent move outs, or is this just a coincidence?

Yes I believe villagers can still move out when someone's sick. Just a few days ago Francine got a cold, and on her second day of being ill Fang asked to move.
This has happened twice I think. Someone also asked to move while a villager was sick, but I didn't really put much thought when it first happened.

A villager can move out at least if they counter is already running from before someone got sick, although maybe there won't be completely new pings while someone is sick.
