From my previous reset I noticed the certain villagers did not want to move in on any of these spots, however there has been a villager who lived on one of these (exactly on the spot selected, on the first picture) is there a problem with them, are they too close to the cliff or are they okay? :(

Answers appreciated!

There needs to be at least two spaces on either side, three spaces in front and I think it's three behind. So no, although if you move them one spot to the side, or for #2 1 space forward, you should be able to get a house there.

Actually there only needs to be one space on each side, so they should be able to move into the first spot no problem. I get villagers in my cycling town that do that all the time.

For the second spot, I think it's too close to the cliff at that back corner. Move it forward one spot and you'll be fine (assuming that fits in with your plans). :)

Huh, I could've sworn it was two spaces. Ah well, I'm not a pro x)

The first spot should definitely work, but I'm not sure at all about the second one. The cliff is pretty weird. I'd probably move it up one space like rosenitmare said.

I think the first one is possible but the second isn't. If you can put patterns all around it (and there isn't any other houses or PWPs too close (i.e. the one space area around the pwp/house doesn't intersect with the one space area around the villager house) they can move in there

Yes, a villager can move there. Human villagers probably can't put a house that close to the edge, but an animal villager can. It's kind of like how a villager can move in near a bridge, but you can't put a new bridge too close to their house.

Thank you all for your answers, ahh I don't know what to do! This is going to slow down my landscaping a lot, you see I have 4 other villagers placed perfectly in a square below, so I wanted to continue the pattern. :(

It seems like they should be able to move in there. First spot for sure, perhaps, second a bit iffier? Let us know how it turns out!
