Can a 2nd (/3th/4th) character read qr codes?

So I found a great path but I don't have so much space for it so can a 2nd character lay paths too?

Great, do they have to talk to Sable for 10 days to get the qr machine or can they just use the one that I already unlocked?

Yes! But the side characters have to befriend Sable first, even thought he machine is there, she wont let you use it if you havent befriended her first

They all have to talk to Sable the same as your Mayor I'm afraid! It's a bit of a pain, but worth it for the extra space
