Campsite Woes

The campsite for me, used to be nice. A villager would show up, then I'd talk to them a few times and they'd move out someone so this new villager could move in.

But oh my GOODNESS the last three times I've had villagers show up to the campsite, they've absolutely hated me, and I have no idea why!

First it was Gonzo, who I was going to get to move out Ruby for my sister, but I could not for the life of me get him to even attempt to move in. I eventually gave up, because I didn't want him all that much and I still wanted to keep Ruby around, at least for a little bit longer.
Then it was Melba, who I was going to also have push out Ruby. Took me way longer than I would've wanted, but FINALLY I won her game and got her to move out Ruby on like... the fourth reset.

But today? Woo-hoo, today... today was Judy. Now Judy is my favorite of the new arrivals, right beside Megan/Candy. I haven't had a snooty on my island since Mallary, and I had sort-of had a hope that I would get Judy in my campsite. I don't have "dreamies", but Judy is the closest to one I've had in New Horizons.

It took about two hours of mashing A and B, an hour and a half straight as well as another half hour after a break, to get her to move in. Oh she accepted moving in several times, its just that she kept INSISTING on kicking out everyone I didn't want her to kick out. I don't like resetting to cheat the game, but I really really wanted Judy, really needed a snooty, and had three normals! I was alright kicking out Melba or Marina (Melba the most since I have very little attachment to her with her just moving in), but she swore some of my favorites on my island wanted to move out over all else. I don't have dreamies, again. I have villagers that live on my island and I grow attached to, and then that's when I want them to stay for the foreseeable future. I let plenty of villages I love go, but I don't just do it willy-nilly. Judy almost broke me, she really did... BUT I finally got her to kick out Melba, and she'll be moving in in two days!!

If you read this far through my rambles, this ever happen to you? A campsite villager you just NEEDED that absolutely insisted on kicking out someone you love, or wouldn't even give you the option to move them in no matter how much you just mashed A? One thing's for sure, I'm not giving up Judy just 'cause how dang long it took me to get her.

I saw Chief in my campsite and I wanted him to move in but he wouldn't, no matter how much I bothered him. So it was goodbye to him I think once I move out some more villagers, I'll try again. Been getting voided villagers though so not sure when the next big campsite use will be :/

YESSSS!? I had wanted Shari after she popped up on my campsite and I thought she was cute... BUT FIRST SHE KEPT SAYING SHE DIDNT WANT TO MOVE IN, then every time she did want to she kept picking Marshall or Raymond to move out who I love... so I just forgot about it cause I didn’t have the patience

I wish you could pick who to kick out like with amiibos!

I desperately wanted a cat to replace Blaire. I was super tired after wasting about a hundred nook mile tickets trying to find at least one cat. unfortunately I kept running into the rut of duplicates and I just got frustrated.

Eventually I hoped the campsite villager would be a cat. And you know how long it takes to actually reroll for one species ugh.

Basically I ended up getting Rudy. And I wanted him to replace one of the villagers that replaced Blaire. It took me about 30 minutes to actually get him to want to move in. but he kept picking the wrong villager to replace and I got super frustrated once again. Eventually you picked the right one but it's agonizing.

I was trying to get rid of a gifted Amelia so I can scan her in so I was just going to take the first camper that popped up and kick them up. It was Ellie and she gave me the prompt to ask her to move in 10 times in a row and did the "lol, jk" each time. I get having them them say now 2 or 3 times but having them give you the prompt 10 times is ridiculous. By the time she said yes, she picked the wrong villager and I didn't want to get stuck talking to her.

I ended just up tt for another camper because I was so mad. Midge showed up and she move in right away and kick Amelia on the first try.

I really wanted to move in Kidd, but he kept choosing between Purrl and Katt. So I just got tired of it and ultimately gave up. Campsite can be sooo frustrating to deal with

I haven't done much with campers so far. The first one I tried to move in was Sly, I wanted him to replace Colton and he kept picking Roald. At the time I didn't know you could close the game down and get them to pick someone else so I gave up. The next camper was Ellie and she picked Coton(thank god). After that I tried to use the campsite to get a new snooty once Purrl moved but I never liked who I got(plus I was trying to get Vivian for a friend). The campsite is supposed to give you the personalities you are missing but after Boone moved(hes a jock) it kept giving me lazies and I had 3(Beau just moved so 2 now) so I stopped bothering with it. Now I got Soleil from the forum so my only missing personality is sisterly and im hoping the campsite will work for that. It does take a while to get them to offer to play a game and then to win nevermind getting them to pick the person u want ti move.

I got lucky when Reneigh was in my campsite. It took five total games to get her to move in. I lost two games, and she wanted to replace someone I wanted to keep twice. She had to choose one of the three villagers I wanted to move out.

I currently have eight villagers I plan on keeping, one I'll let move out, and one open plot. I haven't found anyone with NMTs the last two days, so someone random will eventually move in.

I'm currently doing the campsite method to find Punchy. I don't time travel, so it'll take a while since there is 70+ lazy villagers.
If I find him in the campsite, he'll have to choose between two villagers to replace. So getting the conversation for the game, then winning the game, then getting him to select one of the two to replace might take a while.

I don't think I'll be as lucky as I was with Reneigh.

Fauna showed up yesterday in my camp, she at first chose the wrong villager. I tried the reset but it didn't work. Would not move in no matter what. I got lucky when I switched to my storage character and she accepted and chose the right villager pretty quick

I've only ever invited one camper to my island which was Sylvana. She was my first "cute" camper and I really wanted her but was so afraid she wouldn't want to move in (but thankfully she did). My sister also invited Tom to her island for me from her campsite and also didn't have any problems, thankfully. Having a stubborn camper was always one of my biggest animal crossing fears lol

I hate the card game so much! The only campers I ever invited to my island were Ruby and Tia. Tia chose someone who I wanted to move out straight away but Ruby took 2 hours of re-rolling

The campsite, the way it is done right now, is infuriating to me. We shouldn’t be playing random games... just say you want to move it. None of us want to do the card game for an hour.

Also let ME pick the villager to move out. Come on Nintendo, you know a lot of us do the terrible (potentially corrupting) save method to allow us to pick a villager to move out.

And more campers please. Sometimes I just want to see a new face.

I had Vivian show up in my campsite yesterday. Even though I already have a snooty(Whitney) I wanted her. She’s got a really cute design/outfit and I wanted to move out Chief who I had moved in as my replacement for Hamphrey. But I can’t stand his house and I’m just not bonding with him. I tried and tried and tried all day long but Vivian would not suggest Chief to move out. And no he’s not the last move in. Bianca is and she was mentioned at least three times. I finally gave up so I’m still stuck with Chief and no Vivian

It took me 3 hours total to get Dom to move in to my new town. The card game RNG was awful and that's when he actually LET me try to play. Most of my time spent was just getting rejected over and over along with the same lines repeatedly. I literally had to take a break because I was getting so frustrated.
