I just got pierce to move in from another town and he is scheduled to show up in a few days. At the same time, I'm campsite resetting for lobo. If lobo shows up in my campsite before pierce moves in from the other town, what will happen? I have eight villagers in my town right now, so will someone be cancelled out?

The most recent person you invite in is the one who shows up. So if you invited pierce, that means that if you invite someone else, the second person moves in only
If he's just camping, he won't reset anything, obviously. However, if you're inviting him to move in, he'll cancel out Pierce. I recommend just time travelling to get Pierce to move in (or wait if you don't time travel) and campsite reset for Lobo after that.
