Camping villagers not moving in when I asked them to...

Okay, I asked 2 villagers to move in. I have been time traveling for days and nothing happened. Is it the lack of space I have? Plus, for a while now, my 3ds will randomly shut down saying, "An error has occured". What's happening?

Sometimes when you invite 2 villagers one wont move in.
Try time travelling one day at a time.

I'm not sure what the error thing is about. It hasn't ever happened to me from acnl but it has from other games

1. Thanks so much! Actually, the first villager I tried to convince said yes, but never appeared. I convinced a second villager must later, and in 5 days time his house plot appeared. Usually, when I convince a villager to move in, it take 1-2 days.

2. Yeah, I don't know what's going on. I try to lightly clean it, but I still don't know why it still happens. I have a second town on another cartridge, and it never restarts.

Yeah if you invite one villager and then another after that, it will cancel out the first once. It can take around 5 days sometimes when they're coming from the campsite, usually it's only 2 days but on the odd ocassions I have had to wait quite a bit longer. They always turned up in the end though
