Campers - The ones that got away

I think we've all had that moment of "WHYYYYYYYYY OHGOD WHY" when one of your dreamies decides to camp out in your town, and low and behold, your town is already full.

Yesterday I had a camper for the first time in I don't even know how long. I NEVER get campers. Curious as to who it was, I went inside hoping to play some camping games. It was Marshal. MARSHAL. Of all the hundreds of possible campers, why Marshal? My town was full. I left the tent with a heavy heart. I wish there was something I could have done.

Have you missed out on any great villagers due to a full town? Share your camping horror stories with me~
 
To be honest, not really. Sure I missed out on Julian and Marshal, but I wouldn't have genuinely liked them. I just don't really see the appeal. I like the villagers with silly faces and ones that reference to my many fandoms. :)
 
I had Marina camp when my town was full :( BUT... she came back later! :D Maybe Marshal will come back later too!
 
Bam. :( I need a jock for PWP stuff and Bam/Kody were my top picks, unfortunately when he was in my campsite it was back when I had no idea if you kept talking to them, they'd eventually give in and move if you had room. I can't believe I let him get away. I had room back then, too! /facepalm
 
Never missed any villagers I genuinely wanted for myself, as far as I remember? I have missed potential villagers to sell, though.
 
The same thing happened to me a while ago, but it was the second time! 2 Marshal's gone D:
 
I actually missed Stitches! I had a full town and Stitches came in... he was my first camper EVER... So I thought "Hey, I better wait until another villager shows up, not adopt the first one I see" bad mistake... but well, I'm hoping I can adopt a villager I like someday from the campsite, hopefully a dreamie <3

It's okay I get over it but it would've been lovely if they lived in my town.
 
I don't remember all the campers I wasn't able to convince to move in, but the first one that comes to mind was Fauna. She's a normal deer and she would have been really sweet to have in my town. At the time, I didn't know she was popular, but I would have convinced her to move into my town regardless. Also, her birthday is the same as mine (though I hadn't known this when she was in my campsite), so that would have been cool. I had 10 villagers at this time, though, so this bummed me out. I hope she appears again in my campsite in the future.

Another honorable mention was Gala. She's a sweet, normal pig, and I made a Miiverse post about her here. She, like, Fauna, would have been great to have in my town. She also has large, blue eyes, and I love most villagers with eyes like these. Maybe she'll reappear one day.

Some others that I remember are:

- Rocco. He's a cranky hippo and he was my first camper. I already had a lot of other cranky villagers in my town at the time though, and I'm not too fond of them anyway.
- Rhonda. She's a normal rhino and seems nice. I wasn't too bummed about this though, as I already have her in a Wild World town that I occasionally play...
- Poppy. She's a normal squirrel, and I'd want her in my town if Caroline didn't exist and wasn't in my town already. I really, really like Caroline though, due to her bright red skin, blonde hair, and large blue eyes, which Poppy doesn't have (though her skin is still a shade of red). Having two normal squirrels feels redundant.
- Whitney. She's a snooty wolf, and I would have liked to have her in my town, since the wolves are nice, even if I already have Chief.
- Walker. He's a lazy dog (if I recall correctly), and would have been nice to have in my town.

Those are all that I can remember offhand.

On the positive side, I was able to adopt Marina, Celia, and Chief from my campsite!

Fauna AND Whitney, ouch...
 
I've missed Marina and Whiney. Tbh I don't like either of them very much, but still I wouldn't mind having them for a while.
 
I had Marshal once in my campsite before I knew how insanely popular he was :C I thought he was sort of cute, but also a little plain, and now I'm a little sad I let him go.

Also lost Octavian to a surprise void mover, which stung much worse, as I wanted one of the octopi pretty badly bad then.
 
Never really had this time where I was 'NOOOO Y U HERE NOW', for months I looked for Chrissy through plot resetting for the 9th villager, and campsite resetting... She never showed up in the campsite. I've had Beau, Bam, and Fang once in my campsite in Kibicity but I didn't care. I adore Beau and Fang but have had them in one of my towns, so... And I don't really like Bam.
 
Worst than being full, my first camper was Fauna and I was not full. I didn't know who she was, not having read any wiki or anything, but I thought she was adorable. She turned me down about five times, so I figured I couldn't get her. I didn't know you could be persistent. I got her as a starter in my second town, though.

The only time I've had the experience a lot of you have had where I innocently walked into a tent when my town was full and said, "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" was when it was Freya. Fortunately, I got her from somewhere here later.
