Camper frequency?

Has anyone else noticed an increase in the frequency they get campers visiting the island? My first two after my forced smug camper each took three weeks to arrive, but more recently there has been one a week. I thought it was probability based, and obviously this could happen by chance, but my friend who plays noticed the same thing. Did they update it or something?

Yeah pretty sure the camper rate was increased with the last update. I get campers almost once a week now.

Noticed this as well. It used to take weeks before another camper would visit but I'm getting them every couple of days now. I'm really glad they increased the probability rate

I did the campsite method to try to see if I could get a camper. It took a long time for me to find one, and I was disappointed to find that Isabelle's announcement was a lie.

There has been no mention of an increase by the dataminers . You're likely just getting lucky. The chance of receiving a camper goes up with each passing day, so the chance of getting a camper once a week isn't too out of the question

Most campers I got in a month was 3. Usually it's 2 at most.

I thought it's an average of 6-9 days between visits, which has been confirmed by those who do the "campsite method" for specific villagers.

Sorry, I was wrong. I think the chance just increases to 20% on the 6th day.
If you're inviting amiibo campers, then the cycle resets.

Right, this was the last thing I'd heard about it. The change is just so noticeable for me though... Well, I hope I keep getting lucky in that case!

Yea, I noticed it too! Been TTing recently and actually found campers in the campsite! Usually it's deserted.

I’ve done the campsite method twice now and from what I've seen it’s usually 1-2 per month.

I’ve had a noticeable increase as well. Maybe just RNG, but getting one in two months and then four in two weeks made me wonder if the rates had changed.

I wondered about this too. I went three weeks between campers early on, but this past week I had a camper on Friday and then again on Monday.

After 5 days no camper the chance will be 20%, but it will never go higher than that. I think the first day after a camper paid you a visit it is 5% to get another one
