Did any of you guys end up liking New Leaf so much that you bought a second copy of it? That's what I did today. Has anyone else done that?

I haven't but plenty of people here on the forum have. Some people even have 3 or 4 copies of the game.

I have had two copies for over a year and I really enjoy it. Sometimes I even want a third.

Initially, I thought having multiple copies made no sense. Now I count myself among the people with two copies, potentially even three if I play my cards right, and I'm pretty thrilled tbh :) There's no wondering "what if I did this instead" when it comes to your town. I like that.

I'm planning on getting a second copy, but not for myself. Due to a deal with my mom after my original 3Ds (dating to pre-ordering it) was stolen and she got me The NEW 3DS XL, I have to share it with my brother [who's 12].

Right now, I just have a digital version (scared I'd lose the card xD)

I have two copies of the game and I don't regret it one bit! I agree with Illyana -- sometimes I even catch myself wanting a third copy, haha! But I'll resist that urge for as long as humanly possible.

what's the point to having a second copy besides cycling? :?
If you have access to two 3DS consoles, you can travel between your towns which means:
- taking advantage of turnip spikes
- taking advantage of Perfect fruit premiums (especially if you have two different native fruits)
- extra storage
- Weeding Day becomes a lot easier (because you can time travel to get heaps of weeds and then play Weeding Day with two different mayors to get the maximum amount of furniture)

Even if you don't have access to a second console, you get:
- a chance to play the game over again (without restarting your first town)
- more houses to decorate
- more town to landscape
- more villagers

I think that mostly covers it, but others will surely have more reasons!

I just got my second copy today too! I plan on getting all my dreamies on the new cartridge before doing any landscaping, as I did it backwards on my current town and landscaped first... So now I have a bunch of villagers I don't like, but a town that I really like the look of :/

I'd love a second copy and a second 3DS! So I could obtain the streetpass badage n.n I could have 20 instead of just 10 villagers and there would be more room to store too. I could also make a cycling town ;)

I have seen photos of people with multiple devices and several copies, which I think is a little over board, but hey, a hobby is a hobby. I have two copies, but it was because I had lost one for a very long time. It's nice having two towns but I have been still mostly working on my main town way more, which was my second copy. I restarted my original town because I was doing a similar theme in my second town and wanted to change the whole concept.

I've been considering getting a second copy (the copy I have right now is digital).
The only downside is that I would have to find someone trustworthy to transport some items from my main town to this secondary one if I ever get another copy.
