So I had a lovely path of bush starts going to my Plaza, until a dig spot appeared behind one of the bushes and I accidentally dug that bush up. Replanted it, and it wilted.

Has this ever happened to anyone else? I have no idea why it would've wilted, especially since one grew in that exact same spot before! I tried cutting down all of the trees around it and removing all of the paths - nothing. It would be the 7th bush in a row, so it's not because of the 13th plant dying thing. The only thing I haven't tried is digging up the bushes around it, since I'm terrified they won't regrow either.

Any advice would be appreciated! It looks so weird right now. ._.

Picture to illustrate my point (hole is where the bush was):

A couple days ago, the user in this thread was having the same problem.

Unfortunately you're going to have to rip some (maybe all) of the bushes out and replant them one by one.

However it might work if you take out the three to the left (next to the plaza). Then plant the hole bush. Then put those three back.

Good luck o:

Thanks! I'll try that, just have to collect all the bush starts first, we'll see how it goes. o:

It looks like you planted more bushes to the right of the hole (which goes up with the paths), so I'm just guessing that maybe it broke the 12 bush rule?

The picture's at a bad angle, but there's a 1-tile break in the bushes up and to the right. That 'string' has 6 bushes, so adding a bush where the hole is would make it 7. Putting a space (even if it's only 1 tile) breaks the 12 bush rule right?

Whether it connects vertically, horizontally or diagonally, the limit still applies.

If there's a gap, even one, this will not apply (so there will be 12 on one side, a gap, and then 12 more on the right)

Remember to count diagonal bushes in the sting. Like this, the x's are bushes the o's are blank spaces. trees also count so keep that in mind. This would be a string of 4, becuase the first x is still touching. Rule is if you can not walk through it, it does not break the string.
