building bridges near villager houses?

so i'm planning on demolishing some bridges in my town and replacing them with wooden bridges! i've heard some horror stories of people trying to build bridges back in the same spot and not being able to. i have villager houses right in front of both my bridges so i'm pretty nervous..

one of the houses is 4 tiles away from the bridge and the other is 5

does anyone know how many spaces a villagers house needs to be from a bridge?

A screenshot would be helpful. I read the WA update relaxed the bridge rules, so it may be okay depending on where the houses are.

I have two villager houses 4 to 5 spaces away from the bridges (vertically, front and back of the house) so I think you'll be fine if you plan to remodel the bridge and put it on the same spot.
