[Bug] Cannot enter villager's home

There's smoke out the chimney but if I press A near the door it doesn't do anything at all. On the sign I can still see the text "villager's House". It happens to two of my villager's houses and even if they are outside and I try to interact with the door I don't even get the "I'm outside catching bugs!!" or whatever text. :s
Anybody else got this bug?

I had this issue too, but it seemed to be related to a missing item for me. It didn't start happening until I found one, and went away once I found the owner. Not sure if that is related to your issue or not though

This happened to me this morning! I couldn't enter both Marshal and Audie's houses. I just closed my game and restarted it twice - the first time Audie was fixed but Marshal wasn't, but after the 2nd reboot it was fixed and I could go in. No other issues so far, and I don't think it's related to villager move-ins because Audie was my 3rd villager from an island and Marshal was my first campsite.

The issue I got yesterday was that I tried to visit a villager, he had smoke coming out of his chimney and I was able to go in his home. However he wasn't there. It was just an empty house.

I had this issue with Cheri's house a week or two ago. It eventually fixed itself, I'm not sure how.
