i think/am assuming it has something to do with chrome calling a ]I think I might know what the Google Chrome problem might be. Mine wouldn't load pages at first, so I looked online and found this answer. My Chrome works perfect 100% of time since I followed these steps.

Open IE and on the menu: Tools -> Internet Options
Hit the Connections tab, then hit the LAN Settings button and UNCHECK
"Use a proxy server for your LAN", then OK both windows.
refresh the browser and Chrome should work.
err.. i don't think that was it.

uncheck the box "Use a proxy server for your LAN"? it was unchecked to begin with :p

thanks for the tip/help, though.

I would really recommend using FireFox or Chrome, even Safari, instead of Internet Explorer. I've never used it first hand (except at a friend's house, and even then I used it to install FireFox, and likewise for my own comp :p) but I'm sure that the added features and, from what I've heard (if that's to be believed), security, are much better than IE. On top of that, you can personalize pretty much any third party browser with skins and stuff from their own site, make your own if you have the know-how, etc.
I don't use IE anymore I use Opera (Well, my brother downloaded it.) but when I get my own PC (My Last one died) I'll probably use IE to download Opera or Firefox.

I used to use opera before I switched to firefox, I like how you can minimize it to the system tray, and it has a few other cool functions (I think it has an IRC Chat client built-in?)

hope it grows on ya, and you try them all eventually :D
