I would really recommend using FireFox or Chrome, even Safari, instead of Internet Explorer. I've never used it first hand (except at a friend's house, and even then I used it to install FireFox, and likewise for my own comp) but I'm sure that the added features and, from what I've heard (if that's to be believed), security, are much better than IE. On top of that, you can personalize pretty much any third party browser with skins and stuff from their own site, make your own if you have the know-how, etc.
