The Miiverse friend code rules are nonsense. How would we help anyway? I'm not against Miiverse but it's clunky and way too heavily moderated. I'd be willing to help if there's a way though.

@AnimalCrossingPerson I kept clicking the part of your signature that says "You won't believe what's in here!" and unfortunately I was not affected because I have an extension added on my browser that doesn't allow what is inside of there to work. :P

There's nothing to do really, and especially nothing outside of Miiverse people can do. I would just wait.

Have you read the Users Aged 12 and Under section of Miiverse's Code of Conduct? It outright tells you not to share 3DS Friend Codes, even though you could send a Friend Request to anyone with your Wii U. Even anything that indirectly involves 3DS Friend Code sharing is no-no.

The reason behind that is, well, to preserve the old and outdated policies that Friend Codes were meant since the launch of 3DS.

At this point, there's no way to convince the Miiverse Admins to unban you earlier than two weeks. Their reason for that is pretty much justified.

protip: trying to get unbanned early (especially with others help) is about the absolute worst way to get unbanned in nearly all cases, and this is no exception

And if you're not 12 and under..?

Lol. Why, just why? I don't get why you'd block YouTube.

There's no exception clause on their rules. A lot of people don't mean to do any harm by sharing 3DS FCs. However, Miiverse rules explicitly state that doing so will get you banned.

You decided to ignore the rules and got yourself banned for it. Use the two weeks to familiarize yourself with the rules instead of doing this asinine ****.

I always found that not being able to add peoples 3DS friend code is a very dumb rule. I mean, how are we expected to make friends if we can't exchange friend codes on 3DS? I did find a way around this rule eventually though. You can send people 3DS friend codes by using the PM system on the Wii U. The PMs are not moderated, so you can basically say anything you want with PMs.

As for your situation, nothing can be done really except for waiting the 2 weeks. You can possibly try to get unbanned by creating an alt account, but you would probably be banned longer by evading your current ban. 2 weeks isn't too bad of a wait. Not to mention, it doesn't mean you can't play online games or anything like that.

Is the PM thing a Wii U exclusive?

Actually, I found another mention of the rules being against sharing 3DS Friend Codes under "Other" from the section "Violation Type" of the same Code of Conduct. My bad.

Soliciting people to enter their Nintendo Network IDs on friend lists, publishing Nintendo 3DS or other friend codes in communities, soliciting people to make public their friend codes, using other methods besides friend requests to try and establish relationships in communities. (This does not include making public the community code of a community you created.)

It's been a while since I last used the Wii U's messaging system, but I remember that the staff would actually check the PMs as well. Given that they usually never check those unless your message is reported, it entirely depends on the user you're communicating with.

Yes, it's only available on Wii U. At some point, I remember the staff saying that they'll make this feature available on every other device, and there's no words on when it'll be implemented.

No reason to apologize. On the site you linked, the first line of the first paragraph of the section you mentioned already says "for the protection of younger users". The fact that those two thinking it somehow doesn't apply to those over 12 years of age shows how unwilling they are to actually read the code of conduct.
