Bringing stuff to the island?

Pretty sure the only way to do that is through hacking, and that comes with the side effect of possibly bricking in your game.

Someone was selling one perfect orange on the island the other night. The player said they planted one on the island.
I passed because I wasn't comfortable buying it but would have liked one growing on my island.

I took a few hybrids to plant on my island. Of course, you can only take two per trip. You can put a rose in your mouth and another type of flower in your hair.
I was going to say it's pretty much impossible to bring any other items to your island without hacking unless it's flowers! You can bring flowers to the island, although only one or two at a time using this method. The rose goes in the mouth and other flowers and clovers can be brought if worn in the traveller's hair.
I'm wondering if that person was lying. I hear so much stuff about other players being rude on the island. :/
That's actually kind of genius. I wonder if you could even breed hybrids on the island that way.

I don't think they'll breed, but I actually haven't tried. I've only taken a few with me.

test it for us Belle-- ah to have a flower growing spot with no villager interference. hmm, but there's no Beautiful Town Ordinance on the island-- or is there; i've never seen a wilted flower there....

There are no watering cans and it rarely rains on the island... That's why I don't think flowers will breed.

You can also bring clothes. Like, for example, you can wear a wetsuit over your cuurent clothes, go to the island, and keep the wetsuit in the box/ on the island. If you wear clothes to the island and then put on a custom design to get the clothes off, you can also put them in the box or leave them on the island.
And the things you purchase from the island shop go in your box, you can take those out and leave them on the island.

when i googled this, some people reported that the japanese version of the game (early releases) had a glitch that let people take stuff to the island...

Yeah I'm pretty sure I used to be able to access my letters on the island. I'm talking years ago around the release tho. (I have the PAL version)

Ohh sweet, didn't know stuff can be brought to the island... Oh well my island is completely deserted for beetle hunting.. I think I'll just keep it the way it is for now, too lazy to fix or decorate xD
