Bridge placement vs villager hangout areas.

I can't believe after years of playing New Leaf since it was first released (it's the first and only AC game I've played), I only just realised that bridge placement = villager access = new hangout areas. My town used to be split into two sides, the animals on the left and the animal on the right and never the twain shall meet. Ever since demolishing and rebuilding two bridges connecting both sides all my villagers hang out together

Anything new you guys have learned after all these years of playing?

Didn't you use to have a connection before? My villagers have a bridge and the ones who live close to it cross it all the time, but the ones who don't live near the river rarely do. I have no idea what we're doing differently but it's awesome that your villagers get to hang out together.

I usually like to plot reset all my villagers on the same side or around the same area. Right now, all of the villagers are plotted on the bottom side. (Except for Robin, she was a random move-in that I was not expecting.) I usually only place bridged in places so it's easier for me to get around town, so my villagers just go where they please.

I removed a bridge so that I could get a request for the fairytale bridge and have since found villagers in areas they never were before. They were always hanging around that bridge because it's close to so many of their houses.

Found out that I should have spoken to the police officer more than one or two times. On the three time asking what was new I finally got Mr. Badge Guy was in town. I now go in an bug him all the time.

Found out that the fortune/good lucky item is the same for all towns with the same birthday. Last month I started writing my guest town fortune that was ahead of my other 2 towns. When my newest town played the fortune/clothing was the same. I wished I knew this along time ago for the odd lucky items of the day.
