Bridge Location

I finally put my Cafe down, and now I decided my bridge is in a terrible spot. Right behind the Cafe. So I thought I'd move it. And maybe add a third bridge.


The red X is the one I want to delete, and the brown under the C (cafe) is the one I am thinking of building instead. Suggestions? The other one is a possible location for a third.

I mean that would work in practicality for you to have both of them and delete the other one like you wanted... have you also thought about putting a bridge next to the camp ground and across from your house to the right, or leaving the current bridge and having one go straight down from the original because in my opinion to put a bridge left of the cafe seems a bit pointless unless you have something important there.

I don't think you have enough space for either of those bridges; I'm not quite sure of the exact # of squares it needs but I know it's a ton and the campsite and cafe might be on top of those.

Would it be possible to make the bridges diagonal on the corners to counter what olive said? :v If there isn't enough space, I mean.

idk ive never tried to build a bridge on a corner lololol since i dont build bridges...

I have tried that, but Isabelle says that the length of the bridge dies not match the length of the river or something

If I where you I could put it by the caf? because I think the other bridge is way to close to the house by it and I think a bridge by the caf? would look really cute.

Here's what I would recommend:


Maybe not in those exact spots obviously depending on villager placement and whatnot, but spread them out some more and make your town easier to maneuver. That's what bridges are for.

I think the Caf? might be too close to the river for you to be able to rebuild a bridge there, so make sure you check the bridge space requirements before tearing up the bridge behind it (just in case there's not enough room to rebuild it).

^True, if you rebuild a bridge there it has to be 6 spaces away from the cafe.

Delete it and move it down. I'm saying you need to space your bridges better. Don't make them too close to each other and have to take a round about way of getting to certain parts of your town. I mean it's your town, but that's just my recommendation from looking at your map. You don't want your bridges too close to each other. They are meant to make getting around easier. If you are going to cram three bridges close by one another why even have the other two?

That is true I suppose. I am terrible at bridge placement. I mean, I wouldnt mind too much that one near my mayors out going in the other direction. 'Twould make it easier to visit Aurora lol. I will look into it, but thanks for the recommendation. I;ve already deleted the one behind the cafe, so I will rebuild that one first. Now just to decide, in front of cafe or by camp first lol

Whelp, I cant place it by the campsite til Curlos moves out, cause his stupid house is in the way.
And I cannot place on next to my mayors house. Oh well.
