Bridge conundrum

Ok so I've finally unlocked all the bridges, Vlad just requested the 'wooden bridge' and I really want to swap it with the 'cobblestone bridge' in the image below.



I'm just worried that Rudy's house on the left is too close and if I remove the current bridge, Isabelle won't let me build the new one. Can anyone who's been in a similar situation let me know if there is enough space as I don't want to ruin my town, I've had it since 2013.

hm... tough call.. but if my count is right, even if it requires 5 open spaces diagonally, his house shouldnt be in the way. it looks fine to me, but the closest situation i had was well out of range of my bridge(after someone moved out, that is.)

I placed a bridge near my house with slightly less space than that, I think -- 2 spaces up and 3 spaces to the left, and it looks like you have a 3x3 space there. Also once put a bridge directly behind my campsite with only 3 vertical spaces in between. So yeah that should work out fine

Thanks guys, I've been reading up on other threads and I don't think it'll work. I'd rather leave this bridge that mess it up tbh.
