Father's Day Carnation
So recently I purchased some purple and black tulips and was wondering if some experienced Animal Crossing gardeners could give me some pointers on ways to multiply the amount of each kind. Thanks in advance!

Plant them diagonally next to each other. It also helps to bury fertilizer next to your flowers.

Personally, this is what I do: I take my hybrids/breeding flowers and place them in this formation:
XOX
OXO
XOX
X=flowers
O=empty space
After watering all of them, it's very likely you will have a hybrid by the next day. I sometimes like to place a fertilizer on any of the O spots, which does get rid of one spawn space for a hybrid but it seems to work for me.
To clarify, usually the one flower in the middle is one breeding color while the 4 flowers that surround it diagonally are of just one breeding color as well (so they all touch the middle flower).

This is hands-down the most efficient method (you can replace the fertilizer bag in the center with a jacob's ladder). Plant them like this and leave an open space on all sides, then water with a golden can (or if you don't have it yet, water all flowers including the jacob's ladder if you're using that in lieu of a fertilizer bag).

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to try it with my 4 blue roses (I bought 4 blue roses and until now i don't get any other blue rose and I have used the fertilizer)
