Breeding Purple Pansies

Hi, I've put two purple pansies together and have been watering them every day for days. All I've had is hybrid red pansies instead. I tried putting a hybrid red and a purple together and that combo doesn't work either. Any advice?

Have you tried limiting your watering to just those two purple pansies? It helps if you only water the hybrid you really want.

Are these purple pansies bred genuinely? The reason I ask is that if they were hacked, they won't breed at all.

Breed a purple with a hybrid red. That's how I multiplied mine

There's another way to breed purple pansies without hybrid reds.

1. Crossbreed blue and orange pansies to breed "hybrid oranges".

2. Continue breeding "hybrid oranges" until you have enough.

3. Crossbreed the "hybrid oranges" together to get purple.

About your issue: I find that foreign flowers you get from other towns do not spawn hybrid flowers very well. I suffered this issue when I got 2 Blue Roses from another person, where I kept only getting whites. Only once I bred a couple of Blues from hybrid reds from scratch did I manage to get more.

In other words, the best way to get more purple is to breed 2 purples from hybrid oranges from scratch. After that, purples should easily spawn from the purples you bred.
