Heya!

So right now I?m working on a forest themed town with only deer villagers.
I don?t like natural paths so i plan on placing stone tile paths with lucky clovers in between.
I?m trying for many green-pink combos and placing mushrooms.
I got the classic police station which goes well with my theme.
I don?t know what to do with my houses currently. I have two right bext to each other.
Any ideas for the houses? (If it was a wolf town, a room dedicated to little red riding hood would have been cute!)
Any cool gardening ideas and landscaping ideas? Or any cool ideas in general?
I?m thankful for any suggestions:
Clothes, patterns, paths, flower combos, pwps, landscaping, interior etc.

Also, if you happen to have a finished forest (deer) town, feel free to give me your DA! (I already visited a lot listed in the DA thread!)

Thank you for any ideas! :D

I love the idea of a deer town! I was working on one before I gave my little brother my second copy of the game.

I agree with doing a zen theme. I even named my town Nara after the town in Japan that has the deer roaming freely

I woukd go for mossy stone tiles to make it seem more foresty and natural. The only problem is, the green moss looks weird in winter, but you can easily switch the paths out with a snowy stone tile that looks similar.

I would also suggest having one of your houses be themed like a shinto temple. Put a zen garden in it. Maybe have another house be set up like a Japanese street fair. Then you could have one be a peaceful school house or something.

I don’t know how into the idea of a zen town you are, but the deer villagers inspire these ideas from me!

Thank you! Those are great ideas!
I like the idea of zen pwps and mossy stone tiles. I love that you named your town Nara, so cute!
I also plan on building a third house, which I want to hide between cedar trees and I want it to stay at its smallest seize making it looking like a hut. :> not sure about the interior yet!
I currently have a beige brick part but I wanted to change it anyway. Now I only need to look for some nice mossy path. :D

I love forest themed towns, so sorry if anything I give you isn't what you had in mind. I think whatever you decide to do will look great, so don't worry too much about it! Word vomit now:

I don't really know how a pink and green color scheme would work for a deer forest town. What I had in mind when I read your title was more neutral colors. I was thinking red, white, and black flowers with some dandelions, and mostly brown mushrooms with very few red and white ones. The most abundant color of flower would be white, but I think most of the flora should be trees/stumps and bushes. I think sweet olive ones would look the best, and the town can be set from summer going to fall or late fall.

The vibe I get when I think of this is a hiking resort. You have a main area with most of the things you need in it and then the rest is wilderness (except for wherever the town hall and Re-Tail ended up at. It's hard to get the perfect map man). If you have your already created character homes near the RV area then that's perfect.

For PWPs I think most of them should be centered around your characters' homes. The fire pit, bus station, water fountain, hammock, and weather box thing would be cool. You can put a light house near the beach. There could be a main path that has lamps and benches along it, and then paths that branch off of it that don't really have anything except maybe a sign to show where you are or something. PWPs shouldn't be the focus. The focus should be nature and the cool areas you create with tree and stuff.

For you character houses I was thinking one could be a like a hotel-log cabin where there's a main area and then all the rest of the rooms can be varying sizes with different amounts of beds in them. Like a family suite, a singles suite (I don't think those are actual names for this but it gets my point across), etc. Wood textures and warm colors would work well with both of the houses. The next house could be a diner, reception area, and gift shop. You could have a worn down grass area connecting them to show wear over time.

I know you said all deer villagers, but I think maybe a few bird, wolf, duck, and frog villagers could work well with them, especially the more natural looking ones. But not too many because deers are the main attraction. You could have 1 - 3 villagers all living near each other and then a lil hiking trail leading to their homes. They could have space around their houses to wander so it's like you're sightseeing in the forest and come across a deer or a bird or something. Or they're on vacation in their own little cabins.

For clothing you could use warmer clothing, or clothes you'd wear on a hike (long sleeves, shorts or long pants, boots).

This is probably not the theme you had in mind. To be honest I was really explaining my spin on this idea, but maybe it'll help you somehow. Good luck with your town, though!

You could definitely do like a forest witch or forest hermit for that last house! Maybe even a Princess Mononoke type!

This mossy path is a favorite of mine.

Super cool ideas and very creative! I’ll think about your ideas! I think I’ll stick with deers though. It’s my favorite species. There’s no peppy deer though so maybe another forest peppy needs to fill that spot!

Love the idea of a cabin hotel! And maybe a shop we’re you can buy/ rent all the hiking/ outdoors stuff!
With green pink I meant the combo of cedar trees with white violets and pink Lillies btw!:) but you’re right, lots of white should be there too! (I think roses don’t go well with a forest theme personally where as lillies and violets look great! With clovers and dandilions)
So yeah, so many ideas!

I just had another idea: a gardening shop/ greenhouse! With the items from Harvey’s shop !

For the one house you're planning on keeping small you could literally make it a cabin in the woods. There's the Cabin furniture set & I'm pretty sure there are Cabin themed exterior parts as well.

For an Peppy Forest villager a bear would work well with a forest theme or if you want to go a little darker a wolf would work.

Those are all the ideas I've got. Sorry. Good luck!

I have an all deer town named Shika. I have the dark green town hall, perfect apple trees only and holly shrubs only. I have wooden bridges, wooden tiles throughout town and mostly red roses. I use wooden log benches, rose arches, fire pits and green lamp posts. It is absolutely a forest-themed town.

Do you have a dream address or Shika? I found one in your profile but it seems you have several towns. I'd love to visit! :)

I'm in the midst of a revamp, but will put up a DA if you don't mind visiting it while it's still a WIP. I will post it later today once I get home :)

I had my daughter go see Luna and set up a DA: 4B00-0102-166E. Please remember it's still a work-in-progress, lol! And enjoy your visit :)

I'll be visitig your Town soon! :D

Right now, I cant decide if I should stick to only one kind of bush (Holly/ sweet olive?) and to certain flowers (violets/ lillies).
Opinions?

I love the one bush type in towns because I adore when everything blossoms at once. To me, it's just more pleasing to the eye.

Agreed! I'm still not certain. I adore the darker green, so maybe Hydrangea and Holly bushes.
Btw, I've been to your town! I really liked what you did so far; very cute! I really liked the wooden path and how you landscaped certain areas. I'll post my dream address when I'm a bit further with my town :)

Thanks so much! I appreciate the visit and am happy you liked it. I will happily visit yours when you post the DA!
