Boxed Villagers

I need someone that TTs to answer this. If you have 10 villagers, can you recruit a boxed villager from another town?

I don't have experience with this personally, but from what I've seen on the Nooks cranny forum you need to have an empty plot in order to recruit a boxed villager.

OOF, that's rough. I was hoping they would force out like amiibo.

Unfortunately I think the only way you can force a villager out of your town is if they're in the campsite.

My friend has Raymond. There is no Amiibo card, and by the time he decides to move, I will be at 10. So, I will likely have to TT just to line it up, what a PAIN. I really don't want to TT at all. I haven't up until this point.
