I'm non-binary but I guess I would consider myself "woman aligned" for the time being and I don't shave, like... pretty much ever.
Honestly, it doesn't matter if you shave or don't, regardless of your gender, just do whatever makes you the most comfortable. Your body is for you and other peoples opinions on what you should or shouldn't do with something as cosmetic as hair don't matter.
Shaving is a personal choice, it's nothing to do with gender.
Somehow shaving is still seen as a mostly feminine thing by many people, like using moisturiser, it's odd. But many men save their legs and armpits, and many don't, just like how many women shave, and many don't, it's the same for everyone. I personally don''t for the most part but that's just a personal choice. Shave if you want, it doesn't make you any less of a man or anything.
Your Dad is just ignorant, Men can shave wherever they want, it has nothing to do with gender, its your body your choice whether or not you shave your legs or armpits or not. Don't let social convention make your choices or make you feel insecure. c:
Edit: Body hair is just disgusting, that's probably the reason why women shave because they have common sense.
honestly most guys don't but it's really personal preference there's nothing wrong with shaving I personally hate shaving it takes so long if you want a clean shave and I always get cuts that literally bleed for two hours its just terrible but I still shave regularly because I find body hair uncomfortable lmaoo
A lot of guys don't shave their legs or underarms, but it's a personal choice whether you want to or not. I've met guys that do shave, and girls that don't, ever. Again, it's your choice. If you don't like body hair, then go for it.
Some guys do for whatever reason whether it be personal preference or just because they have to for a sport like swimming, but in this day/age I would say it's normal. Everybody doesn't feel the same about body hair, and you should never have to feel uncomfortable doing what you want, so if you want to shave, do it it doesn't make you any different as a person.
