Bored of a Villager I Love

Yes. Skye was one of my OG 3. She was my absolute favorite and I was closer with her than any of my other villagers, and then I just didn’t have that connection to her. She felt out of place with the rest of my new villagers, and her house interior was so bland since she was a starter

yes! Keaton was my best friend in NL for years. when i moved him in for NH though, i dunno... something’s different. i hate to admit that he’s not my ultimate favorite villager anymore like he was for years previously. i get what you mean.

Yes, it happens. Happened to me in New Leaf with Apple and Hamphrey, even though they're my babies. It's much easier to try out new villagers once you have your favorites as amiibos. Too bad most cards are overpriced, even the fanmade ones.
I felt that tho. I do love my villagers don’t get me wrong, but I also feel like its time to let them go. Idk if this makes any sense but, in a way it feels more personal? Like they just finished a journey of growth that you happened to be a part. Idk i am reading way too much into this, they are just binary fr

Yeah, I get that way with every villager after a certain point. I don't really have dreamies for that reason, just villagers I like. Everyone leaves at some point or another- maybe I'll have them back on my island down the line if I get bored of NOT having them around. : )

I had a villager who I love that I invited via amiibo. Olivia was one of my favorite villagers in the gamecube game and I didn't have a chance to have her in new leaf so I was planning on having her on my island. I still love Olivia, but I just felt like I didn't bond with her in this game as much as I did with my other villagers!
I moved her out for now, but because I have her amiibo card I can always move her back in later.

I actually love every single one of my villagers, but I know I'll get bored of having the same ones forever eventually so I'm not doing that in NH! I've been cycling mine in and out and have actually also had Tex, Aurora, Puddles, Ellie, Lopez, Axel, and even Raymond who I might want again someday especially since I didn't get their pictures. Luckily it's easier for me because I have lots of amiibo cards--so if you happen to have Shep's card, that might be an option for you. Move him out, get someone else for a little while, and bring him back later.

I had the same feelings with Raymond. I had him on my island and he kind of stuck out to me (I also had 2 other smugs so that didn't help). But while he was gone, I did miss him and today I got him back again. Maybe let Shep go and then bring him back in later. The time away might make it better
