Blue Roses Won't Grow

I read online the best way to grow blue roses was to buy some, plant them, and then they grow like weeds. So I bought some and planted them around Lucky's house. I've been watering them every day, but all that spawns are red roses. I've also tried breeding purple and orange roses, but have only succeeded in growing more purple roses and some hybrid reds.

Am I doing something wrong? Do you guys think I should give up and buy more blue roses?

If you aren't getting any more blue roses over a long period of time, it's likely the roses you bought are hacked. Just something I've heard somewhere, I've had that problem in the past but then bought new blue roses and they breed like crazy!
Or it might just be some other weird factor :/

Like Kit said, the roses you bought could have been hacked, so the data on them is incorrect which prevents them from producing hybrids. Just go for them from scratch. You're better off breeding them from scratch, so just take two hybrid red roses and hope the game decides to give you two of them.

Generally when I start to go for Blue roses, it takes me about two weeks if I'm lucky. Longest I've gone without one was three months. Just keep at it, you'll eventually get two and it gets pretty easy from there.

I bought some here last year and had the same problem, so I dug them up, then grew my own from scratch.

They can spawn red and white I think.
I remember getting white everyday, then I read how hacked blue roses won't spawn other blue's, so I destroyed the hacked ones that I bought here and grew my own.

Ah. Must be how they're 'created', then. Cause the ones I used were only creating white. But yeah, I tossed mine pretty quickly and just worked on getting my own. Only took two weeks, but I got them.

Not really looking forward to doing it again with my new town this year.. but I've started on them already.

It's totally worth it though!
It took me a few months of TT'g to finally get one, then the other, but once you have two blue roses, they grow without fertilizer.
Just water them and you'll have another one. ^_^

Using the hacked ones as a starting point? Most likely.

The hybrid reds have to come from a purple rose that has both white parents, and an orange rose with a yellow and red rose as parents.

Breed the orange and the purple to get hybrid reds.

Get rid of anything else.

When planting your reds, keep track of the planting pattern, so you can dig out any other reds that can spawn from the hybrid reds.

Reds that spawn from hybrid reds are useless.
