It was still a system seller in Japan.

It seems they disliked it because the first disk was slow.

I think the review is a bit unfair because the fact that they got caught up in the hype and now it didn't live up to the IGN's speculation, they give it a more negative review.

The rating 7.9 tells me it is an 8.0 game but they didn't like it enough for that because they let themselves down.
