Blathers won’t mention upgrade???

is anybody else having an issue getting the museum to upgrade? I know I’m supposed to talk to blathers before Redd will show up but blathers isn’t mentioning anything

Yeah idk what I’m doing wrong it definitely updated; Leif showed up in my town so I know I’m on the right version. But he just went through his normal dialogue when I talked to him..

Just for the sake of asking, have you donated a lot of items? When I spoke with him, he mentioned that I've contributed so much, etc etc.

Odd. It it helps, I spoke with him in the evening when he was awake. Perhaps him getting started from being woken up is preventing him from speaking about it?

Unless you've also spoken to him in the evening hours...

i wonder if maybe it's bugged because your museum's full. maybe developers didn't anticipate that?

OOP it finally kicked in! I kept going in and out of the museum and talked to him like seven times and finally he gave different dialogue!

I’m glad it worked, but I still find it a bit concerning that it took so long.

Like Khaelis said, it was during his waking hours for me too when he brought it up. Could the time have swapped over to him being up when you re-entered for the successful attempt?

i just got out of bed like, an hour ago so it's fairly early here (around 8am) and i just talked to him, he was clearly asleep before and gave me the dialogue first try. rather than that, i think it might have had something to do with the full museum i guess?

It shouldn't be because I talked to him in broad daylight today, and he immediately mentioned the upgrade. Seems like a strange bug on OP's side.

Yeah, I would’ve found that surprising too. Very odd, but at least it’s apparently resolved.
