Biggest ACNL mistake?

Time travelling. I'm not against it or anything, but it's made the game a lot less fun for me. I'm going to try to cut back on it once I get interested in playing my game again.

First town I had, my native fruit were apples. For some reason I reset my town and made a new one with pears as native fruit. When I was alot further in that game, I realised I like the apples so much more than the pears. So yeah, I regret that, not very big but it's something

I really miss having peaches as my native fruit, since my town is pink themed and I have oranges... in my new town, which is going to be a fall themed town I got apples, which I really like for a fall town so that worked out.

I, too, ate my perfect orange.
Also, I voided Fang and Freya before I knew anything about this forum or tiers, or even giving villagers to other people.
I also wasted about 300k worth of turnips by TTing. Then I had no trash can and had to pay for Reese to dispose of all of them. Major moron moment of the year.

Well, it's kinda awkward but I dug up all my flowers and wondered for a month why I wasn't getting any hybrids because I thought they randomly grew

Main town sold my first perfect apple.
Old TT town paid Leif 100K to remove the weeds so I could make it a real town. At the time I didn't know about the weeding badge and didn't speak to my villager except for holidays. Just thought that one of the villagers was very lazy.

In a weird way, I would have to say developing long term friendships on multiplayer. I feel like if I stop playing for a while they will be disappointed and think I have abandoned them.

In the past I've taken breaks and had people act so relieved that I came back. Really makes me feel guilty about possibly not playing in the future. Any advice on this would be appreciated?? lol

If they're your friends, you can probably exchange e-mails or something and still keep in contact, but only if you want to. Otherwise they should be able to understand when you want to take time off.

i ended up messing up my cycle method to void some unwanted villagers and ended up placing lobo in boxes. : (
and then shortly after, maybe a few days later, i ended up putting my first dreamy obtained in boxes too, fuchsia.

never gonna be able to cycle out to get them all back- looks like i'll buy a second game and have a second town. haha.

That could work, thanks for the advice. I have a few of them on skype but we don't really play any of the same games besides ACNL so there's not much to talk about lol

Nothing major of note, but the biggest regret I had is not knowing the plot reset trick when I invited Marshal over from the campsite. He just pitched his lot beside the camp, destroying my idea of erecting a nearby firepit and log bench. I love the lil marshmallow though so I got over it in time.

Maybe this is more "outside" of the game, but I recently tried to add a friend using their town's dream address...
